‘MUSE OF TRIBE’ PAGEANT

MORE THAN A DANCER. WHO WILL BE OUR 2027 MUSE OF TRIBE?

The Muse of Tribe Pageant is a signature Talent Tribe National Finals event, celebrating the complete performer through communication, confidence, poise, stage presence and talent.

Muse of Tribe is conducted as one combined division and is not separated into age groups.

To enter Muse of Tribe, competitors must also be entered in the Talent Tribe Grand Tournament.

Competitors aged 7–18 Years, based on their qualifying age, are eligible to progress to the Muse of Tribe Top 3 and compete for the Muse of Tribe title.

Competitors aged 6 Years & Under are welcome to participate in the Preliminaries for experience; however, they are not eligible to progress to the Top 3 or receive the Muse of Tribe title.

MANDATORY PAGEANT REHEARSAL

A compulsory Muse of Tribe rehearsal will be held on the morning of the Pageant Preliminary Competition. All Muse of Tribe competitors must attend this rehearsal in order to participate in the Pageant.

The rehearsal will be supported by the current Muse of Tribe Champion, who will work alongside the Talent Tribe team to guide competitors through the Pageant format, stage presentation and walk, while sharing advice and encouragement from their own Muse of Tribe experience.

Competitors are not required to wear their Pageant gown or formal attire to rehearsal. Competitors should attend in appropriate dancewear and the heels or footwear they will wear for their Pageant presentation, allowing them to rehearse safely and confidently in their Pageant shoes.

Rehearsal times and further information will be provided in the official National Finals programme and competitor information.

PRELIMINARY PAGEANT

The Muse of Tribe Preliminary Competition consists of a Pageant presentation, assessed by the designated Muse of Tribe Pageant Adjudicator.

Competitors will be assessed on their Interview & Communication Skills, Stage Presence and Poise.

Competitors will also receive a Talent Score from their performance in the Grand Tournament Preliminary Competition. The competitor’s consolidated Grand Tournament performance score will be converted to a score out of 40 points for the Muse of Tribe calculation.

SCORING BREAKDOWN

🎀 Interview / Communication Skills — 30 points

🎀 Stage Presence & Poise — 30 points

🎀 Grand Tournament Talent Score — 40 points

🎀 Total Possible Score — 100 points

Following the completion of the Grand Tournament Preliminaries, the Muse of Tribe Preliminary scores will be finalised and the Top 3 Finalists determined.

Competitors who progress to the Grand Tournament Top 3 in their respective age division are not eligible to also progress to the Muse of Tribe Top 3.

The three highest-scoring eligible Muse of Tribe competitors, selected from the combined Pageant division regardless of age, will progress to the Muse of Tribe Final.

MUSE OF TRIBE FINAL

The Muse of Tribe Top 3 Finalists will compete again during the Grand Tournament Show.

Finalists will complete their Pageant Walk & Presentation before performing their Grand Tournament routine again as their Talent Performance.

The Muse of Tribe Final will be adjudicated by the Grand Tournament judging panel and scored as follows:

🎀 Interview / Communication Skills — 30 points

🎀 Stage Presence & Poise — 30 points

🎀 Talent — 40 points

🎀 Total Possible Score — 100 points

Preliminary scores do not carry forward to the Final.

The competitor achieving the highest score in the Muse of Tribe Final will be crowned the 2027 Muse of Tribe.

PAGEANT ATTIRE

Female Competitors

Competitors must wear an elegant formal dress or gown with appropriate footwear.

Competitors aged 12 Years & Over must wear a full-length gown. Competitors aged 11 Years & Under may wear either a full-length or tea-length formal dress.

Footwear should be age-appropriate, safe and suitable for a formal Pageant presentation. Heels are permitted but are not compulsory.

Male Competitors

Competitors must wear appropriate formal attire, such as a suit or blazer with dress trousers, together with appropriate footwear.

All Pageant attire must be age-appropriate and suitable for a formal stage presentation.

THE MUSE OF TRIBE PRIZE

The competitor crowned 2027 Muse of Tribe will receive the same New York Championship Prize Package awarded to the Talent Tribe Grand Tournament National Champions, including the opportunity to represent Talent Tribe in New York City in July 2027.

The Muse of Tribe Champion will travel alongside the Talent Tribe National Champions and compete in the World Dance Pageant and World Dance Championships.

The Championship Prize Package includes:

🎀 $1,500 contribution towards flights and/or accommodation to New York City in July 2027*
🎀 Entry to the World Dance Championships / World Dance Pageant*
🎀 Plus additional exclusive prizes, sponsorships and opportunities to be announced*

The New York Championship Prize is conditional upon the recipient travelling to New York City and participating in the nominated event.
