Introducing the 'Pageant' at Talent Tribe
Scoring Explanation:
Each contestant will receive a Pageant score out of 100 points, judged on poise, presentation,personality, confidence, and communication.
Each contestant also has a Grand Tournament solo score.
The Pageant score is combined with the solo score to create one final tally.
The top three contestants with the highest combined scores will progress to the Grand Tournament Showcase, in their age division.
The top three will walk the stage and perform again in the Grand Tournament Showcase alongside the three highest grand tournaments scoring competitors.
From the Showcase, one overall winner will be selected to receive the grand prize — a trip to New York with our National Champions to compete in the World Dance Pageant and World Dance Championships.
Scoring Breakdown (Total: 400 points) - 3 Judges
An addional pageant judge will score the following:
Interview / Communication Skills – 30 points
Stage Presence & Poise – 30 points
Talent Presentation – 40 points
Combined Champion Calculation:
Pageant Score (out of 100)
Grand Tournament Solo Dance Score (out of 300)
= Combined Maximum of 400 points
Pageant Rules:
To be eligible for the Pageant, competitors MUST compete in the
Grand Tournament Section.
Competitors must be aged between 8 years and 18 years of age
Attire:
Girls: Must wear an elegant formal dress and appropriate footwear.
(Competitors over 12 years of age must wear a full length gown, competitors under 12 years of age can wear either full or
tea length attire.)
Boys: Must wear a blazer, tie and dress slacks or a suit with
appropriate footwear.
Stage Presentation:
All contestants must walk the stage with confidence and poise.
Speaking:
Competitors must speak on a microphone. This may include answering a question, giving a brief introduction, or sharing something about themselves.
Scoring Criteria:
Presentation & Attire: 0–35 points
Confidence & Stage Presence: 0–30 points
Speaking & Communication: 0–35 points
General:
Judges’ decisions are final.Contestants who fail to follow attire, stage, or speaking requirements
may be marked down. in scoring.
